Health & Fitness Week 2016 - It's a wrap!

Health & Fitness Week has come to an end... It was a good initiative to expose the school population on how to lead a healthy lifestyle through physical fitness, mental health and proper dietary choices.

So here are some photos taken throughout the week for sharing, please enjoy!

School Mass Dance
We kicked off the week with a school wide mass dance during morning assembly.
Sec 4 and 5 representative of each class leading the mass dance on stage.

Contributions by National Kidney Foundation Singapore - Kidney Education Bus
The Kidney Education Bus parked at our school on the Friday before Health & Fitness Week. It garnered much attention and many students were eager to find out what was inside!
Students queuing up to board the bus.
On board the bus, students got to try out kidney health related games. The station seen in the photo is for students to stand in front of the TV and position themselves according to the kidneys on the screen. It is important that we know where our kidneys are and how many of them we have!

Contributions by School Health Advisor - Fats and Food
Mock food display indicating the amount of fat in each dish.
Skip Your Heart Out & Jump Your Heart Out Competitions
Students took part enthusiastically in both the skipping and jumping jack competitions. Many sacrificed their recess timing to participate in it. There were even students who came down daily to challenge the record their set yesterday. From the four days of competition from Monday to Thursday, we have identified the winners of each competition and will be giving out the attractive prizes soon...

Students taking turns to try out and at the same time, supporting their classmates.

In closing, the PE Department would like to thank our school leaders and all individuals or organisations who have contributed to Health & Fitness Week 2016. THANK YOU!
